Your mind is still stuck with regular take downs, which as I said, most people already put up with it and adopted, but the problem with special take downs (single leg, judo throw, stand up submission after clinch, bull rush, none deniable takedown moves etc) were never touched by the dev, these moves have little stamina tax, can be exploited over and over, and the animation is 100% invaluable.
